Specialized Surgery Team
Providing our patients with the best and most specialized care is a primary goal of the Fracture Care Center (FCC). J. Dean Cole, MD, the Center’s Medical Director, has personally hand-picked and trained his specialized surgery team. This orthopaedic trauma surgical team addresses urgent trauma cases for patients of all ages.
Due to the complex nature of the orthopedic injuries and conditions that the Fracture Care Center treats, a specialized and dedicated surgery team is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Unlike traditional surgery teams, the specialized FCC surgery team is comprised of talented individuals working together in a specific sub-specialized area of orthopaedic surgery.
This means the team performs complex procedures 24/7, continually honing their skills and finding innovations that improve their patients with better outcomes. This team includes registered nurses, certified scrub techs and tech-first assists, radiology techs, physician assistants, surgical assistants, and anesthesia techs.
Faced with a diverse patient population, one with very complex cases, a specific skill level is required for all caregivers, and specialized surgical suites are needed. At the FCC, there are two dedicated operating rooms designed by FCC physicians and the surgery team to specifically meet the needs of our patients.
