Clinical Care Unit
The Fracture Care Center’s Clinical Care Unit is comprised of 39 dedicated private patient rooms and a wide array of medical and support staff. This includes surgeons, as well as physician assistants, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, unit-based case managers, and orthopaedic educators. The FCC surgeons lead daily interdisciplinary team rounds, giving patients the opportunity to be involved in their own personal plan of care.
The Unit’s diverse team members treat general medical and surgical orthopaedic diseases, both simple and complex. Among these are cases of orthopaedic trauma, limb salvage, joint replacements, bone infections, limb lengthening, and nonunion/malunions.
Indeed, orthopaedic trauma creates life-changing events requiring a team of qualified professionals to provide coordinated care; this is exceptionally accomplished by the Clinical Care Unit team. Our team also receives on-going education to ensure they are up to date on the latest protocols and treatment for pre- and post- surgical patients.
The Clinical Care Unit boasts a dedicated team of clinicians working together to achieve the goal of a better patient experience. All patients can expect an unrivaled coordination of care and a quicker recovery period. Dr. Cole and his colleagues have strived to ensure that patients receive compassionate, clinical expertise, coupled with a dedication to clinical and service excellence.
These traits enable the team to design a personalized plan of care for each patient. Above all else, the Clinical Care Unit enables the Fracture Care Center to provide the highest quality care in a friendly and compassionate environment. Concierge services are also available for all our patients to ensure their every need is met while on the Clinical Care Unit.
